Full time
Liaise closely with Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and Heads of Department (HODs) to ensure effective approach in engaging staff on matters in relation to Industrial Relations.
Handle inquiries on disciplinary issues, staff grievances, and labour disputes.
Work with the HRBP and HODs with respect to disciplinary action required, including preparation of documents, investigation of any misconduct, issuance of reprimand letters, scheduling hearings, and attendance at hearings.
Collate evidence and compile documents for Industrial Court and Labour Court cases.
Support senior staff in the provision of Industrial Relations training for the HODS and staff, as required.
Involve in collective bargaining and compilation of collective agreement items.
Keep abreast of changes in the employment laws or the latest judicial precedents on dispute resolution on matters related to the employment laws.
Ensure proper and organized document filing.
Any other ad hoc assignments that may be assigned from time to time.
Reporting:Executive, Human Resources (Industrial Relations) reports to Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and/or any person-in-charge designated by the HRBP.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Law/Industrial Relations/Human Resources Management related discipline or equivalent.
Good understanding in the employment laws, e.g. Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967 and Trade Union Act 1959.
Good communication skills in both Bahasa Melayu and English. Any other language is an added advantage.
Valid driving license.
At least 1 year of working experience in the area related to Industrial Relations and employment/labour matters will be added advantage.
