Responsible for overall purchasing activity within the Company and work under the direct supervision of Manager, Purchasing. .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • To source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.
• Negotiate with suppliers on price for minimum order quantity against usage requirements.
• Conduct regular cost review with suppliers and cost optimization.
• Follow up and expedite supplier deliveries to meet ON-TIME delivery target.
• Organize, maintain and keep proper records of procurement documents.
• Work closely with department head to resolve quality issue with suppliers.
• To coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
• Source for new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors when the need arises.
• To plan and coordinate projects with other Management staff and handles new products development and maintenance items.
• Responsible for planning materials supply for production and to interface with vendors to ensure sufficient materials supply.
• Execute special project to support the company or department objectives as assigned by Superior.
• Coordinate with ESH department for disposing schedule waste which includes the preparation of invoices, apply custom form , follow up payment from schedule waste's customer, follow up the collection date.
• Support all departments for IT issue
• Coordinate and execute company annual dinner activities such as event venue , event sponsorship, event materials and event schedule.
• To prepare i-purchase report comparison with department budget
• Handle LMW lisence required documentations while liase with MCY consultant, prepare monthly/yearly reports, ad-hoc items to add into exemption list
• Other duties assign by immediate superior as and when required.
BASIC SKILLS/ EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Possess Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/ Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Commerce or other equivalent.
• Must be resourceful with strong sourcing, negotiation and procurement skills, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to learn, good working attitude and attendance, responsibility and good communication skills, a good team player.
• Able to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, Power Point).
