The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, test, product, and process engineers, to refine analysis techniques and identify opportunities for innovation in electrical fault isolation methods, enhancing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, maintaining the highest standards of 5S and Kaizen, ensuring equipment optimization, and contributing to technical knowledge through the publication of papers are essential duties.
What you will do
Perform Failure Analysis (FA) on wafer, package, and die level starting from electrical verification, fault isolation, and physical analysis with target KPI as set. Compile the report, review and discuss with business group/manufacturing team the root cause investigation.
Interface with designers, test, product, process integration, and process engineers, problem-solving team, to understand the analysis requirement.
Identify development opportunities of new EFA techniques and improvise FA skills and techniques to enhance analysis quality, speed, and cost as one of the yearly projects.
Familiar/Experienced with operating electrical fault isolation tools like PEM/Obrich, LIT, Bench verification and sample preparation tools like backside polisher, FIB, Ion Milling, and RIE.
Accountable for maintaining the highest standards of 5S and Kaizen within the designated area and machine, ensuring continuous improvement, keeping the machine in good operative condition and optimal organization at all times.
Target to contribute at least one technical paper, showcasing expertise and promoting knowledge sharing within the organization and industry.
What you will need
A team player with analytical, problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
Experience in failure analysis of discrete/Power products/Mosfet/Logic, analog, and/or mixed signal IC devices.
In-depth understanding of both digital and analog circuits, device physics, and IC fabrication processes. Familiar with the FA process flow and analysis techniques.
Ability to interpret system-level schematics, the IC level schematics, and IC layout of CMOS and bipolar devices is required.
Strong understanding in discrete/Mosfets/IC and knowledge of Fab process is an added advantage.
Able to work in a dynamic environment supporting various types of analysis for assembly, test, and wafer fab operations.
Working in Laboratory or wafer fab or similar manufacturing environment is a plus; Microprobe measurement and analysis/test measurement knowledge and Nanoprobing experience in advanced tech node is an added advantage.
Experienced in 5S and Kaizen lab/machine improvement projects.
Experience in writing technical papers will be valued.
Experience using Power BI or other software to create automated or semi-automated systems that enable machine users to log in and extract machine utilization data monthly.
