Fab Lab Technologies

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Fablab Technologist at Invictus International School Horizon Hills JB Malaysia located in Nusa Jaya. The Fablab Technologist will be a crucial part of the Fablab team who not only has the role of technology coach to students but also actively champions the use of digital fabrication across all areas of the school.
Key Responsibilities Design, plan and help deliver Fablab lessons and workshops.Guide and mentor student projects.Maintain lab equipment in optimal conditions and ensure Fablab inventory of supplies is adequate.Ensure safety measures are adhered to at all times and provide safety training when required.Identify and encourage other teaching staff to integrate Fablab elements into their lessons or school activities.Work on innovative showcase projects using the Fablab's facilitiesQualifications A Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, design, architecture or related technical fields is desirable but not a must. Candidates with a strong portfolio of work instead of formal qualifications will be equally considered and are welcome to apply.Experience teaching and/or delivering training in a group setting or one-on-one instruction.Knowledge or keen interest to learn all of the following: graphic design, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, 3D printing, 3D modelling, electronics prototyping, coding, robotics.Possess self-initiative, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Able to converse in Mandarin/Korean/Japanese would be an added advantage.
