Fabrication Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Lead fabrication shop floor team and machine shop.
Develop and implement a fabrication schedule to ensure timely completion of projects.
Coordinate with project managers and other departments to align fabrication activities with project timelines.
Supervise the fabrication process, including cutting, welding, drilling, and assembling structural steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Coordinate with design and erection team for smooth operation.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of fabrication quality.
Conduct inspections and tests at various stages of fabrication to identify and address any defects or deviations from specifications.
Allocate resources such as manpower, equipment, and machinery effectively to optimize productivity and meet production targets.
Monitor resource usage and make adjustments as necessary to ensure efficiency.
Lead and motivate a team of fabricators, welders, and other personnel involved in the fabrication process.
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure that team members perform their duties effectively.
Maintain accurate records of fabrication activities, including material usage, labor hours, and production output.
Generate reports on fabrication progress, quality metrics, and any issues encountered during the process.
Identify and resolve issues or challenges that arise during the fabrication process, such as material shortages, equipment malfunctions, or design discrepancies.
Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to address any concerns or requirements related to fabrication.
Provide updates on fabrication progress, timelines, and any deviations from the original plan.
Analyze the BOM and plan tentative estimate cost for projects and work towards achieving cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety standards.
