Job ResponsibilitiesElectrical Systems Operations & Maintenance
Manage and maintain Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) power systems:
- Transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, UPS (rotary and static), and emergency generators.
- Motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, and protection systems.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on electrical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
Analyze power quality, perform studies, and implement optimization measures.
Tool Hookup Management
Prepare scope of work, tender specifications, and evaluate technical requirements for electrical tool hookups.
Oversee and coordinate the installation and commissioning of tools, ensuring proper electrical connections and compliance with power distribution standards.
Evaluate and suggest improvements to existing hookup methods for better reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with Peraturan-Peraturan Elektrik 1994, MS-IEC, IEC and other relevant electrical codes and facility standards.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, and Contractors to ensure seamless integration with minimal production impact.
Capacity Planning & Load Management
Perform load management and capacity planning to ensure power systems meet current and future production demands.
Analyze load trends, conduct power capacity forecasting, and develop contingency plans for system resilience.
Optimize electrical infrastructure to support tool additions, system expansions, and upgrades without exceeding capacity limits.
Lead studies on power distribution performance, ensuring reliability during peak loads and system growth.
Project Execution & Point of Connection (POC) Management
Lead and manage electrical infrastructure projects from design to execution:
Review and approve single-line diagrams (SLDs), technical designs, and connection layouts.
Oversee Point of Connection (POC) management, ensuring tools are efficiently and safely integrated into the power network.
Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
Implement project documentation and reporting, including risk assessments and technical reviews.
Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management
Ensure all electrical systems comply with regulatory standards and internal safety protocols.
Stay updated with evolving industry codes, technologies, and best practices to maintain a safe and efficient electrical environment.
Energy Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
Proactively identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, such as power factor correction and UPS optimization.
Stay in touch with latest technologies and innovations in electrical systems to enhance reliability and operational efficiency.
Lead initiatives to upgrade electrical systems for improved performance and reduced operational costs.
QualificationsMandatory Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred).
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in electrical operations, tool hookup management, capacity planning, and load optimization within a semiconductor FAB, critical facility, or heavy industrial environment.
Experience in scope preparation, tender specification development, technical evaluations, and project improvement recommendations.
Strong expertise in managing MV/LV power distribution systems and integrating tools into complex electrical networks.
Familiarity with rotary and/or static UPS systems is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with capacity planning, load management, and Point of Connection (POC) design.
- Strong ability to develop electrical hookup specifications, review technical requirements, and evaluate vendor proposals.
- Working knowledge of local regulatory requirements and other electrical standards.
- Experience in energy management and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent project management skills to handle multiple priorities and deliver results on time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
- Effective cross-functional communication to engage teams across Facilities, Operations, and Manufacturing.
- Ability to lead projects independently, ensuring minimal disruptions to production timelines.
