Faculty Manager; Faculty of Science and Engineering (FoSE)The University of Nottingham in Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking suitably qualified candidates to apply for theFaculty Managerposition inFaculty of Science and Engineering (FoSE) .
Principal Duties:
Supporting the Faculty Dean and the Faculty Management Board members in developing, managing and delivering the Faculty Strategic Plan.
Advising the Faculty Dean and other Faculty Management Board members on administrative, financial and human resources matters relating to the operation of the Faculty.
Managing faculty-level administration including coordinating the work and line-managing the Faculty Administration Team members.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in various University-wide activities and initiatives.
Facilitating good communications within the Faculty, including communicating Faculty and University priorities and activities; and representing the Faculty where appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Educated to degree level (or equivalent), plus significant hands-on experience in a similar or related role or proven track record of extensive relevant work experience.
Knowledge in managing and planning of academic processes and administration.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills – ability to manage a complex budget and analyse and interpret results.
Proven communication skills with an excellent level of written and spoken English.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly relational, able to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues.
Excellent people leadership skills and proven track record of enabling high performing teams.
Experience working with senior management in a diverse and challenging environment.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with senior members of staff.
Experience of managing a team in a complex environment.
Experience of handling difficult, confidential and sensitive situations with integrity and discretion.
