Winery & Viticulture (Farming, Animals & Conservation)
The Field Conductor manages daily field operations and supervises outsourced workers. This role ensures that all activities are performed efficiently, meet quality standards, and follow safety guidelines to achieve optimal crop yield and sustainability.
What do we need you to do?
Daily Operations Supervision:
Coordinate daily activities such as planting, fertilizing, pest control, pruning, and harvesting, ensuring adherence to schedules and SOPs.
Workforce Management:
Assign tasks to outsourced workers, monitor performance, and provide training to improve skills and safety compliance.
Quality Control:
Inspect crops regularly for quality, address issues, and report findings to the Field Manager.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
Enforce safety standards, ensure proper use of protective equipment, and promote environmentally friendly practices in line with regulations.
Resource and Equipment Management:
Monitor and maintain tools and equipment, ensure availability, and manage inventory for necessary supplies.
Documentation and Reporting:
Record daily activities, worker attendance, and productivity; prepare and submit reports to the Field Manager regularly.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Agriculture, Plantation Management, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role, preferably in a plantation environment.
Knowledge: Understanding of plantation operations, crop management, and standard practices in Malaysia would be an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Ability to lead a team and ensure productivity.
Communication: Clear communication with workers and managers.
Problem-Solving: Strong skills in addressing field-related issues.
Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of crop cycles, pest control, and soil management.
Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety practices in agriculture.
