Solar Turbines is currently looking for a Field Service Representative (FSR) in our field offices. This FSR position serves as a company technical and administrative representative and deals with customer service assignments including on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service work, call-out services, and commissioning activities on Solar gas turbine packages. The FSR will report directly to the Field Services Supervisor (FSS) and must have basic knowledge of methods and experience in the maintenance of all Solar product lines.Principle Accountabilities:Understand and comply with Solar and customer HSSE policies and procedures. Ensure the work permit system is complied with and participate in safety meetings and complete required safety training.Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded. Carry out all maintenance activities in accordance with company policy and good practices.Must have basic knowledge of methods and experience in the maintenance of various equipment associated with primary and utility equipment.Proactively recognize electrical/mechanical abnormalities and potential safety problems, taking appropriate action to prevent hazards. Provide daily reports to the relevant manager on projects or daily work.Accurately report and update all equipment histories to effectively forecast equipment utilization and efficiency. Ensure effective communication and reporting to immediate supervision and customer representatives.Utilize sound judgment when analyzing problems and solve them independently in a timely and cost-effective manner.Work individually or with assigned FSRs on preventive/corrective maintenance and assist in a technical manner when needed.Monitor maintenance services to ensure they are carried out in line with Solar Engineering specifications and in a safe manner.Utilize the Work Force Management Process and system to manage work orders, including pre-work, time recording, and reporting.We are looking for candidates who have the following:A recognized apprenticeship or equivalent training, along with a technical qualification (e.g., Degree, HNC/HND, ONC, C&G, Aviation Engineer's license, Marine Engineers Certificate) and 3 to 10 years' experience in a related industry.Experience in an overseas/offshore environment is desirable, with familiarity in rotating equipment and PLC systems.This employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer.Ability to work independently and adapt quickly.Relocation is not available for this position.As a global company, Solar Turbines offers many job opportunities which can be found through our career website:Solar Turbines Careers .
