Responsibilities:Manage full set of accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
Support the day-to-day financial operations within the company (invoicing, A/P & A/R and other transactions).
Responsible for timely submission of group financial statements quarterly reports with accuracy and proper compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Responsible for treasury and cash management functions of the Group.
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
Review Monthly Management Report and finalize with General Manager and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with local laws, accounting standards and latest financial developments affecting the companies.
Responsible for tax compliance and tax planning of the Group.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other statutory bodies to ensure compliance with audit, tax and statutory requirements.
Supervise, guide and coach the accounts and finance personnel in their respective job functions and ensure the department operation is running smoothly.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
Conduct financial analysis to interpret trends, variances, and performance metrics.
Cost Analysis and Management:Perform detailed cost analysis to identify cost drivers, trends, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Develop and maintain costing models to support pricing decisions, budgeting, and forecasting.
Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to monitor and control costs effectively.
Plan, monitor and coordinate the costing activities. Liaise with Production, Technical team or others for costing matters.Budgeting and Forecasting:Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
Partner with department heads to develop budget plans aligned with strategic objectives.
Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.Process Improvement and Compliance:Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial accounting and costing processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls related to financial reporting and costing.
Implement best practices and standardized procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Financial Strategy and Decision Support:Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management based on analysis of financial data and trends.
Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and business expansion strategies.
Support business decision-making through comprehensive financial modeling and scenario analysis.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, cost accounting, or related roles, with a focus on both full set accounting and costing.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and cost management methodologies.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., AutoCount) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in leading teams and collaborating cross-functionally.
