Our focus is on delivering a mobile phone lifecycle experience not limited to Trading, Financing and Insurance. What Role Will You Play in Shaping CompAsia's Future? Financial/Management ReportsOversee/Prepare full sets of monthly management accounts, including journals, bank reconciliations, reconciliations to sub-ledgers, and balance sheet sub-schedules, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for overseas operations.Ensure that overseas entities comply with local accounting standards and group policies, while consolidating their results into group financial statements.Perform analysis by comparing actual results to budgeted results for overseas entities.Analyze variances and provide detailed explanations for discrepancies in financial performance, particularly across different countries like Thailand, Hong Kong, United States, Indonesia, Dubai, and others.Oversea/Prepare additional monthly reports i.e.: segmental and sales channel reports. 2. Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, including payments, invoicing, receipts, and reconciliations with overseas vendors and customers.Ensure proper reconciliation of overseas creditors' statements and accurate reporting of outstanding liabilities. 3. Cashflow Management: Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure sufficient liquidity for overseas operations.Monitor foreign currency transactions and mitigate foreign exchange risks. 4. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for overseas entities, aligning them with overall group financial targets.Review and analyze budget submissions from international finance teams. 5. Statutory Compliance & Audit: Prepare statutory financial statements for overseas entities and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.Liaise with external auditors and tax agents in Singapore, Malaysia, and other jurisdictions to ensure smooth audit processes and tax filings. 6. System & Process Optimization: Serve as the key user for Financial Accounting in the accounting system, ensuring the system is optimized for international reporting.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of international accounting operations. 7. Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and coach the finance team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and guiding team members to meet their KPIs.Provide ongoing support and development to the team, particularly in understanding and adhering to international accounting and reporting standards. 8. Financial Controls & Compliance: Ensure that all accounting records and reports are prepared in accordance with sound accounting practices, group policies, and local regulatory requirements.Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions. 9. Ad-Hoc Projects: Take on any additional tasks or projects as directed by management, including supporting the expansion of operations into new countries
What Qualifications and Experience Will You Bring to Excel in This Role? Experience in managing cross-border financial operations, including cash flow and forex management.Prior experience working in a multinational company or across multiple jurisdictions.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting, with exposure to international operations and reporting.Solid understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards (e.g., MFRS and SFRS) in countries like Singapore and Malaysia.Experience managing full sets of accounts, preparing financial reports, and conducting variance analysis.Familiarity with tax regulations, audits, and statutory reporting requirements in multiple countries.Strong leadership skills, with experience supervising and developing finance teams.Proficiency in financial accounting systems and advanced knowledge of Excel.
