Finance And Accounting Manager

Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support the strategic direction of the company.
Perform variance analysis and implement corrective actions to manage deviations from the budget.
Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Strategic Financial Leadership:Serve as a key point of contact for financial issues, providing leadership and direction to the finance team. This individual will lead the finance department in managing day-to-day financial operations, providing accurate financial reports, and advising on long-term financial strategies.
Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
Risk Management and Compliance:Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the Company.
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement:Establish and develop relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
Team Development and Leadership:Mentor and develop a team of senior managers and junior staff, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
Required Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field from a recognized Malaysian university.
Professional accounting qualifications recognized in Malaysia, such as ACCA, CPA Australia, or the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in a marine shipping or related industry.
Thorough knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and experience with local statutory requirements and tax regulations.
Strong skills in financial management and accounting software, familiar with Malaysian-specific financial systems.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and Malay, both verbal and written.#J-18808-Ljbffr
