Finance and School Operations Officer (KL)The Finance and School Operations Officer is responsible for supporting the financial management and operational activities of the school. This role involves assisting in the execution of financial processes, maintaining budgetary controls, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the school. The officer works closely with school leadership to maintain a conducive learning environment and uphold financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the school's budget.
Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely financial reporting.
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and school policies.
Operational Support:Help manage the maintenance and security of school facilities.
Coordinate the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services.
Maintain inventory records and oversee asset management.
Support the coordination of transportation services for students and staff.
Assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.Human Resources Support:Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new staff.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws.
Support the administration of performance reviews and professional development programs.
Handle routine HR inquiries and provide support to staff as needed.Administrative Duties:Support the scheduling and coordination of school events and activities.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for school leadership.
Manage office supplies and ensure the smooth functioning of administrative tasks.
Provide general administrative support to the Principal and other school leaders.Help identify and mitigate risks related to school operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety protocols.
Support the school's emergency preparedness plans and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in finance or school operations is preferred.
Knowledge of financial regulations and basic accounting principles.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
