Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting and budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and oversee full aspects of accounting functions, policies and processes related to Accounting and Financial function in line with internal controls and processes to ensure compliance with local FRS, US GAAP and SOX.
Manage and oversee accurate and timely completion of A/P, A/R and GL transaction processing, including review, reconciliation, and explanation of key movements.
Ensure the accuracy of monthly and yearly account closing and the daily operations of the accounting department.
Review, analyze and provide commentaries for key fluctuation of monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) and produce financial reports or statements.
Coordinate and prepare forecast quarterly in line with corporate deadline and requirement.
Prepare and present budget in annual exercise.
Drive and monitor business performance in line with expectations.
Lead, support and liaise with external statutory bodies (corporate secretary, audit, tax, east coast economic development council and related government department).
Support documentation and facilitate any needful to meet incentive programme, audit filling, tax filling and local compliance matters.
Manage and oversee Treasury and Taxation functions including cashflow forecast, liaison with banks and supporting any tax and treasury queries from corporate headquarters.
Manage banking relationships, cash holdings and foreign exchange hedging in line with corporate policies and procedures.
Lead and participate in ad-hoc special projects identified by management for process improvement etc.
Support and complete any ad-hoc requirements (facilitate insurance annual requirement, statistic survey, tax questionnaire).
People management – lead and develop finance team in finance and accounting reporting and compliance matters.
Financial system support - drive and implement financial system as required by corporate.
Business partner internal stakeholders to support key initiatives.
Desired Skills/ Qualifications:
Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Prefer 7-10 years' relevant experience in Financial Accounting, with hands-on experience in statutory reporting requirement, manage and drive budget, forecast and business partnering effectively with external/ internal stakeholders.
Min 4 years' experience in managing a team and comfortable with start-up environment.
Proficient in written and spoken English with ability to communicate in Bahasa Melayu for local requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
