UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Job Objectives:To be the key person in Finance applications driving software/hardware installations, patching, performance tuning, DR testing and all other infrastructure-related activities.
To maintain the Finance Application Infra setup and coordinate with the Infra team for various server-side activities such as server security patching and performance tuning.
Review and facilitate requests from the application team related to infra activities such as database restoration and database backup.
Perform and report health checks on the application environments on a daily basis. Automate the health checks/monitoring on a long-term basis.
Deliver server migration and database migration activities with the Infra team.
OBIEE 12C installation and setup.
Aldon setup for the new servers to maintain the source code versioning.
Job scheduling in Control-M.
Drive and deliver automation in the application environment towards installation and health checks.
Key Responsibilities:Designing, solutioning, and provisioning of application infrastructure as per the project needs.
Application software (including third-party products) installations and upgrades.
Facilitate OS and other software patching.
Deliver new server setups/configurations and provision of various application environments.
Work with the development team to understand the application requirements from software and infrastructure and suggest/deliver suitable designs/procedures.
Work with the development team to troubleshoot any performance-related issues and find solutions.
Collaborate with other infrastructure teams like administrators, DBA, and networks team to complete the tasks as per the schedules.
Plan, implement, monitor, report, and deliver various key project requirements.
Coordinate and perform application DR testing; automation of DR scripts is mandatory.
Work with team members, guiding junior staff and taking responsibility for deliverables.
About the DepartmentTheTechnology and Operationsfunction is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Key Requirements:Expertise in middleware technologies (Weblogic, WebSphere, etc.).
Technology delivery skills to plan, implement, monitor, and report infrastructure project requirements.
Prior experience in Linux/Windows server migrations.
Hands-on experience in Oracle database maintenance.
In-depth experience in Linux and Windows operating systems.
Sound knowledge of server hardware in VM and physical server environments.
Proficient with Batch and PowerShell scripting.
Experience in performance tuning of queries in Oracle.
Good knowledge of understanding third-party vendor applications installation.
Quick learner - Gain working level knowledge in any new tools and technology as needed in the Finance department.
