Finance Director (Metal Fabrication Manufacturing)As the Key Leader of the organization, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to transform the accounting and finance function into a world-class operation. This role includes driving financial excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the company's strategic goals.
Strategic Leadership:
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Oversee and lead core financial reporting functions, including management reporting, budgeting, treasury, tax management, and policy development.
Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with all regulatory laws and standards for financial, statutory, audit, and tax reporting requirements.
Risk and Cash Flow Management:
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Oversee cash flow projections, payment schedules, and collections to optimize cash management.
Source funding and evaluate financing options to support business operations.
Operational Excellence:
Lead periodic budget and forecast reviews to ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of financial results.
Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
Drive the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and other relevant applications.
Work closely with auditors, the taxation department, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and achieve performance targets.
Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to foster a high-performance culture.
Encourage a collaborative and innovative environment.
Payroll and Collaboration:
Oversee the companywide (i.e. Local, Expatriates etc.) payroll processing for compliance with national legislation.
Additional Responsibilities:
Undertake other duties as assigned by senior management to support organizational goals.
Requirements / Skillset:
A Bachelor's degree / Master in Accounting and Finance and possess relevant professional qualifications & membership
Minimum 8+ years of experience in Accounting managerial capacity, preferably manufacturing industry, is required for this position.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian GAAP and IFRS.
Expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, financial planning & analysis, and general accounting.
Proven ability to lead and mentor teams while driving organizational improvements.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization.
