KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Compile a full set of accounts at a group or subsidiary level, monthly management report, and analysis back to the Hotel Management.
According to the company's expense accounting regulations, be responsible for expense document review, voucher input, and statement preparation to ensure that the company's expense review is timely and accurate.
Prepare/ review the purchase and sales invoices and check balances with vendors/ clients/ tenants.
According to the actual business development needs, maintain a good cooperative relationship with banks and communicate with them to handle various banking businesses (including online banking, audit requests, etc.
), ensuring the timeliness of handling banking business.
Liaise with external auditors/ consultants on interim/ annual audits and tax filing.
Responsible for day-to-day financial accounting functions.
Prepare GL schedules and bank reconciliations.
Preparation and submission of quarterly SST returns.
Assist in financial reporting and audit processes.
To ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries on hotel revenue.
To verify daily revenue reports and weekly adjustments.
Check and review exceptional reports daily.
Perform billing and inter-company cross-charging.
Prepare service tax, tourism tax, and sustainability fees return.
Monitor & clear balance sheet GL.
Coordinate yearly budget, profit plan, and assets verification with operations.
Facilitate internal and external auditors.
Participate in process improvements with the Finance, Operation, and IT team to achieve higher efficiencies.
Handle special/ ad-hoc projects/ additional tasks assigned by reporting superior/ reporting head from time to time.
Handle a full set of accounts and generate relevant reports.
Ensure effective internal controls about financial reporting are in place, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and execute the change management process.
Plan and control the company's cash flow, funding, and budget allocation.
Control and manage end-to-end financial processes in support of the account which includes collections, payments, monthly close activities, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Provide and interpret the monthly financial information and operating reports to the Management.
Ensuring all accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures are fully compliant with company policy.
Establish effective internal control procedures to improve accounting and reporting systems.
Ensure all the accounting records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system.
Liaise with auditors and other external parties to ensure financial compliance.
Monitor and analyze financial trends and provide forecasts for the future.
Develop and implement budget plans according to the hotel's goals and objectives.
Assist with any admin tasks required by other departments.
Conduct stock count and stock management.
Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superiors.
JOB SKILLSBachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or Accounting professional qualifications.
At least 5 years of working experience in the hotel industry.
Must have a good command of English – both written and oral.
Being fluent in Mandarin is an added advantage.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail, and excellent organization skills.
Able to work under pressure and minimum supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to perform in a high-paced and dynamic environment to meet timelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software.
