A Finance Executive is responsible for overseeing all financial activities within an organization, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing financial performance, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. Key responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, financial management, reporting and compliance, strategic leadership, stakeholder communication, team management, and driving technological and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cost Management and Cost Control
Ensure invoices are processed promptly upon receipt, meeting established payment terms and avoiding late fees.
Monitor invoice processing times and implement strategies to reduce turnaround time and improve efficiency.
Minimize errors and discrepancies in invoice processing through thorough review and validation procedures.
Internal Controls and Compliance
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings or recommendations.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for accounts payable processes, such as invoice processing time, payment accuracy, and vendor satisfaction.
Monitor KPIs regularly and analyze performance trends to identify areas for improvement and celebrate successes.
Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate accounts payable performance metrics to stakeholders and management.
Process Improvement and Technology Adoption
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency through automation, standardization, or other initiatives.
Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to optimize workflow and reduce manual efforts.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements.
Contract and Vendor Relationship Management
Cultivate positive relationships with vendors through effective communication and timely payment processing.
Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies or disputes promptly and professionally.
Continuously review and optimize contract management workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
Monitor contract performance against key terms and conditions to ensure compliance by all parties.
Team Management and Development
Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Requirements :
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accounting / Finance related
At least 3 years of experience in AP function
Possess good strategic, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
Competent in software (Microsoft Office)
Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
