Responsibilities: - Management Maintain a documented system of accountingpolicies and procedures.Manage outsourcedfunctions.Oversee the operations of theaccounting.Oversee the accounting operations,especially control systems, transaction-processing operations, andpolicies and procedures.Funds Management andBudgeting Forecast cash flow positions, relatedborrowing needs and available funds forinvestment.Ensure that sufficient funds areavailable to meet ongoing operational and capital investmentrequirements.Assist in determining thecompany's proper capital structure.Manage thepreparation of thecompany's budget.Report to management onvariances from the established budget, and the reasons for thosevariances.Financial Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses inall areas of the company.Keeping abreast ofchanges in financial regulations andlegislation.Providing and interpretingfinancial information.Monitoring andinterpreting cash flows.Managing a company'sfinancial accounting, monitoring and reportingsystems.Liaising with auditors to ensureannual monitoring is carried out.Developingexternal relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors,solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the InlandRevenue.Producing accurate financial reportsto specific deadlines.Project Create projectaccounts.Manage financial part of projectplanning.Maintain project-related records,including contracts and variationorders.Reviewsupplier invoices related to aproject.Review timesheets for work related toa project.Investigate project variances andsubmit variance reports to management.Reporton project profitability to management.Approveall project-related billingsto customers.Investigate all projectexpenses not billed to customers.Transactions Ensure that accounts payable are paidin a timely manner.Ensure that all reasonablediscounts are taken on accounts payable.Ensurethat accounts receivable are collectedpromptly.Ensure that periodic bankreconciliations are completed.Ensure thatrequired debt payments are made on a timelybasis.Maintain the chart ofaccounts.Maintain an orderly accounting filingsystem.Maintain a system of controls overaccounting transactions.Reporting Issue timely and complete financialstatements.Coordinate the preparation of thecorporate annual report.Manage theproduction of the annual budget andforecasts.Calculate variances from the budgetand report significant issues tomanagement.Provide for a system of managementcost reports.Provide financial analyses asneeded, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions,and contract negotiations.Compliance Coordinate the provision of information toexternal auditors for theannual audit.Monitor debt levels andcompliance with debt covenants.Comply withlocal, state and federal government reporting requirements and taxfilings.Administration andPayroll Manages thepreparation, distribution and reporting processes forpayroll.Oversees the calculation of wages,overtime and deductions to ensure compliance with applicableregulations. Ensures that payments and government reports aredisbursed accurately and on time.Maintainingemployee records.Establishes policies andprocedures for payroll.Advising management onstatutory rules and policies.Other related duties as assigned by the topmanagement.
