The Finance team at RBC Malaysia provides Finance and Accounting support to RBC Malaysia locally, in addition to all of RBC's businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia.
The Finance operations in Malaysia is the Center of Expertise for APAC Finance, providing Accounts Payable, Financial Control, Product Control and Performance Management services.
The objectives for Malaysia Finance is to provide First Class accounting services to our stakeholders in Asia Pacific, and to enable onshore Finance teams to fulfil their roles as valued Finance business partners.
Region : APAC Working Hours : 9am-6pm What will you do?
Support and lead the Accounts Payable functions in the COE along with Associate Director (AD) Support the Finance teams across APAC by delivering a consistent first class service in line with SLAs and evidenced through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Recruit, mentor and develop a high performing team that exhibits values consistent with RBC's Leadership Model.
Support the migration of agreed Finance functions to Malaysia per the APAC Finance TOM.
Support the system migration and other FIT projects targeted during the year.
Collaborate with AD and delegates to ensure effective internal controls and governance in line with RBC policies and industry best practices.
Manage a Finance COE to support all businesses in the region, providing a quality service for financial accounting deliverables outsourced to Malaysia.
Support the design and execution of the Finance COE migration strategy, collaborating effectively with stakeholders in achieving the COE's objectives.
Implement COE Key Performance/Control Indicators, regularly synchronizing with internal stakeholders and reporting on KPIs/KCIs to determine COE effectiveness and service levels.
Serve as a point of accountability for the COE ensuring service levels are met and/or exceeded and all operational metrics are trending in a positive direction.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have Minimum 7 years of Experience in a range of Finance roles within a Banking capacity, e.g.
Accounts Payable.
Knowledge and application of accounting concepts within a Financial Institution.
Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and prioritize work according to strategic goals.
High level of collaboration and conflict management, including a thoughtful approach to gaining organizational buy-in.
Stakeholder management with attention to client service.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) Strong control mindset and understanding of relevant accounting practices.
