Key Responsibilities: Financial Management:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. Strategic Planning:
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives. Conduct financial analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new projects and investments. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the budgeting process, including preparation, review, and monitoring of budgets. Develop financial models and forecasts to predict future financial performance. Monitor and report on budget variances and provide actionable insights to management. Cash Flow Management:
Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and investments. Optimize the use of financial resources and manage working capital efficiently. Oversee the treasury function, including banking relationships and debt management. Internal Controls and Compliance:
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and best practices. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required. Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of team members. Promote collaboration and effective communication within the finance department and across other departments.
Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the property development or real estate industry. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws in Malaysia. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. about the manager/team
