Job Overview: The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate accounting records, managing budgeting and forecasting, and supporting the operations team in all financial-related matters. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.Assist in the preparation of presentations for executive management.Budgeting & Forecasting: Work with department heads to prepare annual budgets and forecasts.Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.Report on budget variances and suggest corrective actions.Assist in the development of financial models to support business planning.Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections.Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and customers to streamline payment processes.Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.Prepare cash flow projections and recommend strategies for optimizing cash flow.Manage bank accounts and coordinate with banks on financial matters.Operational Support: Support the operations team in managing costs and improving financial performance.Collaborate with operations to develop cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.Conduct performance evaluations and provide training as needed.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a plus.
