SUMMARY OF POSITION:You will be responsible for overseeing the Finance Department's daily operations and staff performance of the company.
You will also be the main contact for any matters related to accounting for all internal and external parties.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare financial reports for management's review of monthly financial results, annual budget and other financial analyses as required by management.
Manage and oversee daily operations of the Finance Department, including month-end and year-end period closing, inventories control, account payables and receivables and general ledger.
Lead and supervise a team of finance staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Company SOPs.
Responsible for management of treasury and credit functions as well as ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and timely settlement of liabilities due.
Ensure compliance with all MFRS and relevant accounting standards.
Enforce Company's finance policies and procedures.
Liaison with auditors on interim and year-end statutory audits and other ad-hoc exercises.
Performance tax plan, computation, and deal with tax agents for all tax matters.
Liaise with bankers, lawyers, other external consultants and government authorities.
Initiate process improvement to enhance administrative and developmental operations.
Participate and support any ad-hoc functions and related tasks when required.REQUIREMENTS:
Possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent, with a professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA/CIMA).
Must be a member of MIA.
At least five years of working experience in a similar field, with two years of experience in a leadership role.
(Experience in audit and/or taxation would have added advantage)
Confident and good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-resilient and able to work in a fast-paced and aggressive environment.
Strong analytical skills and presentation skills, highly motivated and results oriented.
High level of commitment and responsibility, good attention to detail.
Proficient in both spoken and written English and BM.
Competence in Microsoft applications, i.e.
