What you will do
Key Responsibilities
Oversee finance function of Amgen Malaysia Affiliate, including finance business support, financial planning and analysis, actual closing monitoring, local tax review and oversight, payment & collection support/advice, and distributor management.
Act as Business Partner for the Commercial Organization of Malaysia by providing insightful information, advice, and positive challenges to facilitate good decision making.
Prepare Malaysia's quarterly financial forecasts, annual budget, and long-range scenario (5-year planning).
Monitor actual closing progress and ensure timely and appropriate manual entries (e.g., accruals) are made every quarter-end.
Analyze actuals and provide commentary and financial insight to SEA Finance and the local management team.
Provide strong support to respective product brands and functions in Malaysia, especially on revenue forecast, opex planning, and tracking.
Communicate and provide financial insights and their business implications to internal business counterparts.
Conduct price analysis and scenario planning to prepare business cases for respective product brands to explore new opportunities and increase access to patients.
Ensure local compliance with Company financial policies and procedures, e.g., expense reimbursement policy.
Manage local distributor for Malaysia, ensuring prompt review and settlements of distributor's billing.
Ensure PO compliance and continue to improve on-time vendor payment to achieve JAPAC targets.
Oversee GST and Withholding tax reporting and filing process, working with external service provider to ensure accurate and timely filing.
Support SEA Finance Lead on process improvement and other business development projects.
Support Regional Tax Lead in terms of transfer pricing planning & supply price setup.
Prepare and complete profit monitoring models for Malaysia, working with Regional tax lead and Finance Lead to review and conclude the TP adjustments.
Manage Hyperion and Anaplan upload for forecast, budget & long-range scenario.
Conduct finance internal control verification including annual IICC verification.
Participate in external audit for the Malaysia Affiliate.
Drive process improvement, simplification, and automation in any FP&A areas.
Participate in local and regional projects such as business systems implementations and process improvements.
Report on cash operation activities and ensure adequate liquidity for operations for the markets within scope.
Test SAP implementation, Ariba, and Concur integration for the Malaysia Affiliate.
Other ad-hoc projects as required.

What we expect of you
Basic Qualifications:
Degree in Accountancy or Business Administration.
Professional qualification in accountancy.
10+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting, budgeting, and planning in a multinational environment.
Basic knowledge of WHT and VAT.
Fluency in English, both in written and verbal communication.
Working knowledge of key MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
External audit experience from Big 4.
Pharmaceutical industry knowledge.
Knowledge of US GAAP.
Experience with SAP, Hyperion, and Anaplan.
