We are developing 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia through M&A and greenfield development of C&I and utility scale projects.
Due to business expansion, we are actively seeking a Finance Manager, SEA to be based in Malaysia to join our Finance & Accounting team.
This role reports to the Financial Controller.
Working closely with Levanta Group of finance team in Singapore, this role will assist with full spectrum of financial accounting, tax, statutory and other reporting for 2 to 4 of entities under Group entities:
Prepare monthly/quarterly Levanta Group consolidation accounts
Timely preparation of the monthly/quarterly reporting to Actis
Timely preparation of monthly management account and budget tracker
Manage full set of accounting for 2 – 4 active subsidiaries (include SEA)
Handle financial operations of purchase to pay, billing to cash, record to reporting
Treasury functions include reviewing of payments for approval as well as working with bank relationship manager in opening new accounts and approval matrix update
Review of tax filings and returns (e.g.
withholding tax, SST/GST/VAT, annual tax returns etc) in Singapore and Malaysia as well as SEA
Monitor the project and entity operational cash flow
Ensure timely and accurate closing of finance and accounting activities monthly
Ensure inter-company and intra-group transactions are booked and reconciled timely
Ensure local regulatory statutory reporting is prepared and submitted on time
Assisting in ERP implementation (i.e., Microsoft – Business Dynamics 365)
Collaborate with accounting, tax and corporate secretary matters with relevant parties in SEA countries
Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and internal control policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
Assist with year-end audit
Support M&A and business team on finance related matters with SEA countries
Undertake ad-hoc assignments management may request from time to time
Ideal candidate should possessEducation and Experience required:Degree in accounting/finance or its equivalent professional qualifications (e.g.
ACCA/CPA)
8 - 12 years of relevant working experience in multi-national companies
Prior 3 years or more experience in a big 4 accounting firm is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with day-to-day operation and good team player
Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a strong plus
Good knowledge of IFRS/local accounting requirements, tax rules and regulations is preferred
Experience with energy industries is preferredKnowledge and Skills:Ability to work independently and lead a team, with strong leadership capabilities to manage and guide the team in dynamic and fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with advanced competency in managing stakeholder relationships
Proficiency in verbal and written English
Good time management skills, with a strong ability to estimate, plan, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Adaptable, resilient, and proactive, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs within strict reporting timelinesTravel Requirements:20% travel within the SEA region is expected
