Finance Manager (Shah Alam)

Job Responsibilities:Ensure timely month-end closing and accurate financial reports for events, including tax and statutory compliance.
Handle financial reporting, forecasting, and month-end closing for book fair events.
Manage accounts receivable and cash flow to support event operations.
Lead budgeting for annual and event-specific needs with regular updates.
Analyze budgets, address variances, and provide financial insights for event planning.
Maintain relationships with bankers, auditors, and tax authorities for smooth operations.
Perform data analysis and financial modeling for event decisions.
Review project plans, provide financial input, and manage ad-hoc requests.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations for event finances.
Process timely and accurate payments for event vendors.
Track financial performance, spending, and cost-saving opportunities.
Work with auditors to ensure efficient event finance audits.
Travel to book fairs to manage cash, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Partner with the event team to provide P&L support, forecasts, and financial analysis.
Requirements:Bachelor's or Professional Degree (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
Retail industry experience is a plus.
Open to traveling and working extra hours during events.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to handle pressure independently.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, innovative, and positive.
Proactive, organized, and excellent in communication.
