Responsibilities:Support day-to-day activities related to financial information requirements linked to financial reporting and taxation functions.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements at month's end.
Analyse journals in the GL, investigate any unexpected movements, and follow up on any open items or issues for resolution.
Prepare schedules and complete a set of statutory financial statements for the auditor to review and respond to auditor queries.
Assist in preparing and filing tax computations, direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Support company tax audits, responses to tax notices, and timely resolution of other tax controversy matters.
Perform basic technical research to address tax issues and support tax planning initiatives.
Assist in transfer pricing matters and provide guidance on intercompany transactions.
Provide other tax support, which may include analyses of pending legislation and implementation of legislative changes.
Assist in preparing accurate and timely reports, schedules, and documentation related to tax activities.
Liaise with internal parties, external auditors, company secretary, and tax agents to ensure compliance with all matters relating to audit, tax, and statutory requirements.
Attend to any ad-hoc assignments that may be required from time to time.
What You Need:Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, etc.
Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant working experience in audit, tax, or accounting/finance.
Possess knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS/US GAAP, and tax rules.
Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
Exhibit a strong sense of dedication, attention to detail, independent and teamwork abilities.
Advanced PC skills (MS Excel) are required, and knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
