THE ROLE: Provide financial support for a dedicated team within AMD.
THE PERSON: You are a results-oriented self-starter with excellent communication skills. You possess attention to detail and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are comfortable with ambiguity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintaining financial models essential for quarterly, annual, and long-term planning concerning Cost of Goods Sold, operating expenses, and capital expenses. Assisting in the intra-quarter forecast/outlook process. Conducting month-end close procedures, including expense reviews, accruals/reclassifications, and the preparation of supporting schedules. Performing detailed expense variance analyses between actual results and forecasts, and providing recommendations for cost control. Compiling inventory reconciliations. Generating reports, both scheduled and ad-hoc, to support financial analysts and/or the leadership team. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Advanced MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. Strong analytical and organizational skills necessary for managing various initiatives. Sound understanding of financial concepts and financial modeling. Analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive approach, self-motivation, and the ability to work autonomously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in written and spoken English. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: A degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant professional qualifications. LOCATION: Penang, Malaysia
