Job Responsibilities As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and strategies of our organization. Your responsibilities will include managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Oversee the smooth and efficient running of the Finance Department
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, incomestatements, cash flow statements, and management reports. Ensure compliance withaccounting standards and regulations.
Develop and manage the budgeting process, working closely with various departmentsto establish financial targets and objectives. Prepare financial forecasts and analyzevariances between actual and budgeted results.
Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provideinsights and recommendations to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard companyassets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and compliance with policies andregulations. Conduct internal audits and implement necessary improvements.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accountsreceivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Monitor cash flow, manage bankingrelationships, and optimize working capital.
Coordinate tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.Work with external tax advisors and auditors to manage tax filings, audits, and relatedmatters.
Manage and mentor the finance team, including manager, executive, and other staff. Setperformance goals, provide guidance, and promote professional development.
Collaborate with executive management to develop financial strategies and objectivesaligned with the organization's goals. Job Requirements A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Professionalcertifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) may be preferred or advantageous.
Understanding of overall hotel operations and finance functions
Able to work independently and is a good team player with leadership skills
Mature, pro-active, independent, analytical, meticulous and able to meet deadlines
In-depth understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and relevantregulations. Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting techniques
Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningfulconclusions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team andcollaborate with cross-functional departments. Strong communication and presentation
abilities to convey financial information clearly and concisely
Computer literate, proficient in MS Excel. Knowledge of Fidelio / Opera and SUNAccounting System
