About the roleAs the Financial Controller for our MNC client, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
This full-time role based in Penang Island requires a candidate to effectively head the finance team and ensure that all obligations are met.What you'll be doing
Keep up to date with legislation and subsequently manage compliance.
Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts succinctly so they can be reviewed periodically by management.
Conduct financial analysis to support senior management decision-making.
Design appropriate management reporting to enable constant monitoring of business performance.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies in Australia.
Manage banking transactions, insurance, and credit control.
Supervise processing of payables and receivables.
Supervise all procurement and inventory management and spot anomalies in ordering trends to ensure that correct stock levels are maintained.
Supervise and provide leadership to a team of five people.
What we're looking for
A degree in finance or accounting or a qualified accountant (e.g.
ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience.
Substantial experience in a senior financial role, preferably within a fast-paced, commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical skills and ability to succinctly present information and findings.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and lead a team of finance professionals.
Familiarity with financial software such as Oracle NetSuite.
