Description Primary Objective: Conduct sector and corporate credit analysis and compose related reports in order to provide investment ideas and update clients of Group Treasury & Global Markets sales teams, effectively support Group Investment Banking efforts to generate revenue, and provide research support services to the entities within RHB Banking Group.
Key Responsibilities: Meet requests from Institutional sales teams and clients, and provide strong research support to Group Wholesale Banking, Group Treasury and Group Investment Banking revenue pillars.
Accompany the Head, Fixed Income Strategy and/or Strategists in marketing roadshows and other client servicing efforts in the home country as well as overseas markets, as assigned.
The Senior Fixed Income Analyst, may be given an enlarged role with additional responsibilities to coach and mentor junior analysts and associates (management associates or interns) on fixed income ideation and production of fixed income strategy reports.
The productions of fixed income strategy reports will be covering macro, fixed income relative values and thematically important sectors of the MYR bonds/sukuk space as well as other Asia-pacific region.
Maintaining and updating the Fixed Income and research database of the FIC team in a timely and effective manner.
To ensure all reports are updated periodically.
All analysts must strengthen relationships and liaise with internal and external clients: Display teamwork to achieve a coherent research product.Work closely with senior management at all times to develop RHB's fixed income research capabilities and visibilityEnsure compliance of all legal and regulatory requirements to achieve a high standard of integrity for RHB's research team and product.Key Shared AccountabilitiesAssist RHB Investment Bank, RHB Bank & RHB Islamic Bank in evaluation of potential new issuances and corporate deals.Collaborate with related departments in Group Investment Banking, including DCM, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Client Coverage teams.
Requirements Requirements: Bachelor Degree - Economics, Finance, Accounting, etc.. - •Investment Advisor licence or similar, issued by local securities regulatory authorities.•CFA (preferred).4-6 years of research experience in an established financial institution.Strong ability to write and present fluently in EnglishAbility to use MS Word, Excel and PowerpointIndustry experience would be an advantageQualitative and quantitative research skills; familiarity with the research process.
