Grand Margherita Hotel is the first international hotel in Kuching, Sarawak, which was opened in 1976 as Holiday Inn Kuching.
32 years later, both stakeholders, namely Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) and Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC), re-branded Holiday Inn Kuching to Grand Margherita Hotel.
