Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
The Food Safety & Compliance Inspector provides oversight on HSE&C information (codes). Ensure compliance with local regulations, food codes, and internal standard operating procedures. Be the focal point for certifications and processes (ISO & HACCP), while supporting the team in delivering amazing food and service standards. Demonstrate excellent leadership & communication toward safety management, food safety, and compliance.
Essential Functions:
Site Visits – On average, spend (travel) up to 80% of the time performing food safety, quality, & HSEC inspection, while training onsite teams in these areas at all operations of CK Malaysia.

Communication - Must have excellent communication skills that include reading, writing, and speaking as this role requires a high level of interaction with staff and clients.
Reporting – Preparation of reports & emails on time. Work to develop and train staff on any functions under the scope of food safety in the account.
Enforce the key elements of ISO 22000 across the account.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Perform inspections and report findings/summaries to the Safety & Compliance team in the Head Office.
Monitor CCP/HACCP protocols for each meal service including food preparation, cleaning, storage, receiving of goods, and service lines.
Take photographs and provide on-the-spot corrective actions for any non-compliance to staff and the Onsite Manager.
Enforce and uphold all relevant CK SOPs within the onsite operations.
Be willing to learn, implement, and train onsite staff simultaneously.
Ensure Corrective Action Requests (CAR) reports are submitted in time as per CK standards.
Identify gaps and provide routine training on food safety for all onsite staff.
Remind the team regularly of the good practices towards hygiene in the workplace and monitor compliance.
Ensure employees are following all Food Safety and work safety practices as outlined by the client and our company.
Identify and analyze non-conformities, develop a corrective action plan in collaboration with the Onsite Manager, Operations Manager, and the client as required.
Be the focal point for Incident management; lead, participate, and report any incidents; provide complete support and leadership towards incident management.
Provide a proactive approach towards safety by identifying areas of improvement and actively implementing corrective actions.
Monitor the compliance of hygiene and food safety requirements from the purchase of raw materials to the service of meals.
Check food temperature control throughout the kitchen.
Actively participate in any external audits and inspections together with following up and closing out all action plans.
Strive to maintain a balance between client and our company requirements and expectations.
Assist the Safety & Compliance Manager on work-related tasks as required.
Participate and support any certification process such as HALAL, HACCP, BeSS, ISO, etc. as required under the guidance of the Safety & Compliance Manager.
Educational Requirements:Any degree in food or hospitality.
Experience:3 Years of work experience under functions of food safety in catering or hospitality is highly preferred.
