Job Title:Food Safety Executive.
This role would be based in Penang.
Responsibilities:
Food Safety & Quality Assurance:Ensure legal compliance with existing hygiene and food safety legislation in accordance with the Food Act 1983 (Act 281).
Participate in the review process of the annual improvement QHSE year plan and roadmap.
Provide technical support and advice on Malaysian legislation (Food Act & its regulations) and company requirements on Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and internal HACCP program.
Take part in the process of site mobilizations to ensure food and workplace safety compliance prior to site opening.
Ensure safety standards are maintained and continually seek ways to improve safety standards.
Work with Sodexo's Country and regional team on improving overall QHSE standards.
Update the latest food safety processes and procedures and new operating process documentation if required.
Audits:
Conduct internal audits; provide support to the operations team to formulate and follow up on corrective action plans.
Prepare sites and facilitate external audits.
Follow up with vendors and the purchasing team regarding any deviation from product quality in the raw materials/conduct vendor audits in collaboration with Country HSE and Supply Management teams when necessary.
Liaise with Local Authority Inspectors and enforcement officials as required.
Training:
Deliver food safety training presentations to operational teams as appropriate.
Identify knowledge gaps and develop tools to deliver training.
Set up educational programs and campaigns to promote a culture of hygiene, food safety, and environmental awareness.
Carry out, follow up, and monitor progress of training and OJT for staff on food safety procedures.#J-18808-Ljbffr
