Job Summary:
BridgeNet Solutions is acting as the 4PL provider for a global client. Control Towers are regional hubs that direct operational activities and provide visibility to the client. As the Control Tower Coordinator, you will play a critical part in the tactical execution of the 4PL solution by planning transportation, monitoring exceptions, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. This role provides the opportunity to make a clear impact on BridgeNet's success through its importance as the first line of defense for transportation execution.
Essential Functions (Primary):
Audit freight bills to ensure that charges align with negotiated rates, contracts, and service agreements.
Verify the accuracy of shipping charges, including accessorial fees, fuel surcharges, and other freight-related costs.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoiced freight charges and contract terms or actual shipments.
Work with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to clarify and correct billing errors.
Ensure that all freight charges comply with relevant legal and regulatory standards (e.g., transportation regulations, billing practices).
Maintain accurate records of audits, discrepancies, and communications with vendors/carriers.
Job Specifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of freight industry standards, transportation cost structures, and billing practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working within an APAC environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks in order to achieve objectives.
Ability to perform in a multicultural matrix environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Industry experience, having worked in 4PL or 3PL previously.
Sound understanding of a service organization.
International business experience.
Education:
Minimum of 3 years of transportation analyst/coordination experience. Demonstration of business acumen required.
Travel/Meeting Requirements:
Travel is expected to be less than 5%. Meetings and conference calls may be required outside of normal business hours to allow for global participation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
