Job DescriptionDesigns, develops, tests, debugs and deploys software applications used by end users or integrated with other applications within the manufacturing ecosystem.
Development spans the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development.
Uses modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and end-to-end testing of applications or systems.
Solution develops with reusable software components, scalable framework and platform.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions with existing manufacturing systems, ensuring that the solutions are scalable, reliable, deliver tangible results, and transform operations.
Completes SDL tasks, documents development processes, and maintains comprehensive records of codebases as well as procedures for installation and maintenance. Interact with end users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in software development, and evaluate their applicability to the manufacturing processes and ecosystems.
QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a related field with software programming experience.
Ideal candidate must have 3 months of experience in the following:
Knowledge in back-end/front-end software architecture and design practices is a must.
Demonstrated experience using current web technologies (examples include: .NET, API, NodeJS, Angular 10+).
Preferred Qualifications:
Fluency in C#/ASP.NET, Java, Python, SQL queries desired.
Knowledge and skill around integrating with RESTful APIs.
Experience using current web technologies (ASP, AngularJS, NodeJS, React, VueJS, etc.).
Experience in Windows, Linux, and Cloud (e.g., Azure) platforms.
Experience in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
Experience in leveraging open-source packages is desired.
Experience with semiconductor manufacturing is a plus.
Knowledge of basic computer science data structures and algorithms.
Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for performance issues.
Experience with source control tools (GIT).
