About the DepartmentCredit Business Bankingis a team engaged in credit underwriting and collections; supporting Business Banking. Business Banking (BB) is a business segment within Wholesale Banking which provides lending to borrowers with Turnover of RM30m and below with Limits below RM5.0m. This involves identifying and evaluating underwriting risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment. Also includes managing delinquencies via dunning in addition to other exception reviews conducted by BB – Risk Monitoring Team (RMT); as well as recovering actions post classification of BB accounts.
Job ResponsibilitiesManage a team of front-end and back-end Credit Associates (CA); who are managing BB delinquent and NPL portfolio to achieve overall delinquency, NPL ratio and Net Credit Loss set by management and meeting the Operating budget / Balance Score card and team performance via individual productivity.
Ensure smooth and effective implementation of collection policy/strategy, procedures and any other related directive from the management.
Train, lead and motivate team in achieving the collection/recovery target.
Monitor CA's daily productivity and ensure staff in compliance to all the regulations and deliver the required service / TAT/ adhere to the Bank's policies.
Manage the cost per recovery/team monthly expenses.
Ensure timeliness in responding to the customer's complaint or query professionally.
Ensure that control issues &/or gaps arising from Internal Audits, Business Risk Reviews, peer reviews, third party agency audits, regulatory reviews, and Collections QA reviews are actioned and closed within the stipulated timelines.
Improve and streamline collection management processes to achieve business goals, collections effectiveness, productivity and management controls by constantly reviewing, developing and providing support for collections activities to ensure high operations integrity and efficiency.
Job RequirementsAt least 10 years of experience in credit controls, credit collections and recovery management.
Ability to motivate team performance and agile in driving changes and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
Demonstrates problem-solving and decision-making skills with strong team orientation and collaboration with stakeholders.
