About the role
Work Location:1Powerhouse, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Reporting To:Account Receivable Manager - APMEA
Working Hours:2.00PM – 11.00PM
Key responsibilities
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts using SAP & BPC systems, including comprehensive analysis of accounts, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end processing.
Collaborate on the SAP Kerry connect roll-out, supporting the integration of new sites into the central supply chain company and GL reporting center, when significant project work arises.
Drive process improvements across the company to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
Partner with GBS AR/AP to ensure proper alignment and comfort around balance sheet items under their control.
Post cross-regional statutory accounting journals in close collaboration with the tax and treasury teams.
Own the preparation and analysis of Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliation and Income Statement (P/L), ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals.
Prepare and analyze management reports that provide valuable insights for key stakeholders.
Ensure timely and accurate period-end and year-end ledger closing submissions, meeting company deadlines.
Draft Statutory Financial Statements for specific entities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with European sites to ensure smooth month-end closures and accurate reporting of key balances.
Serve as the gatekeeper for interim and year-end audit procedures, including preparing the year-end audit file, liaising with external auditors, and supporting year-end group reporting.
Assist company stakeholders, local finance teams, and business partners with any technical queries related to financial matters.
Support in uploading projections and budgets into SAP, as needed, to maintain accurate financial forecasting.
Analyze Income Statement and Balance Sheets to ensure accuracy in period-end closing, journal preparation, and quality review.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a similar field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Hands-on experience in key financial processes such as accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, overheads close, processing bank transactions and reconciliations, intercompany accounting and reconciliation, fixed asset transactions, as well as budgeting, projections, and financial statement preparation.
Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM).
