The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our cosmetic business operations. Reporting directly to the company's executive leadership, the General Manager will play a vital role in setting and executing the company's strategic vision, managing resources, optimizing processes, and building a high-performing team.
Responsibilities and Duties:Strategy and PlanningDevelop and implement comprehensive business strategies and plans that align with the company's vision and objectives.
Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
Collaborate with the executive team to define and refine the company's short-term and long-term goals and objectives.
Accountable for working closely with the Head of Finance to create and manage annual budgets, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow of the business.
Responsible for the achievement of operational and financial results - both top (revenue) and bottom (profitability) lines.
Operations ManagementOversee and optimize day-to-day operations across all functional areas, including production, supply chain, research and development, marketing, sales, and customer service.
Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
Develop systems, policies and procedures to enhance productivity, cost effectiveness and efficiency.
Manage various departments such as R&D / Product Development, Production and Logistics as well as Sales and Marketing.
Champion innovation and continuous improvement throughout the organization to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to develop and execute effective strategies to expand market share and increase sales revenue.
Requirements:At least 5 years of recent senior experience in General Management of a Retail Wholesale Distribution channel of consumer goods i.e. Cosmetics, Fragrance, Skin Care Products.
Ideally educated to Degree level in or an MBA from a recognized institution.
Proficient in all MS Office Applications and digitally savvy.
Outstanding communication skills with excellent command of English and Malay (spoken) is highly preferred.
Strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills for internal & external relationship building.
A good understanding of the retail or wholesale distribution channel is essential.
Strong financial management experience with the ability to develop and achieve budgets and targets.
Excellent people skills, negotiation and consensus-building skills and the ability to work in an environment which requires flexibility and adaptability.#J-18808-Ljbffr
