General Manager (Livestock) Based in KulimOur client is one of the leading agro-based business groups in Malaysia who is also intoIntegrated Livestock Farming which includes poultry farming.
As they continue to expand their business and farming operation, they are actively hiring for aGeneral Manager candidate to be based in the Northern Region.
They areopen to hiring candidates with strong expertise in Poultry Farm Operationand alsoexploring candidates from the Manufacturing industry who are keen to enter the Poultry industry.
Job Description
Direct and manage the farming daily operations, ensuring sustainable performance, growth, profitability, and market share.
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve profitability goals.
Manage and drive the sales team on team activities and performance.
Control costs and expenses to achieve financial targets and optimize profitability.
Monitor Layer Farm production, operations, and logistics to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
Manage the day-to-day Layer Farms operation parameters (i.e., FCR, mortality rate, etc.) to ensure efficiency by monitoring and checking each operations unit performance.
Develop and establish Farm operations standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational consistency and efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify and address any quality issues.
Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Job Requirements
Minimum Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or Business Administration. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a senior management role.
Strong understanding of livestock production processes, including breeding, nutrition, health management, biosecurity welfare, feed mill, and industry regulations.
Experience in operations management, supply chain management, and quality control specific to livestock farming.
Possess financial management skills, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and emerging trends in the ILF industry, including ESG practices.
