Description:
Manages the general ledger for multiple entities.
Ensures timely and accurate payment processing in accordance with company policies, procedures, and controls.
Collaborates with all entities and functions to guarantee timely and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Prepares journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analyses.
Oversees bank administration activities and supports corporate treasury services.
Conducts bank reconciliations.
Manages inter-company and related company transactions and balances, addressing any discrepancies.
Prepares monthly balance sheet schedules.
Compiles monthly and quarterly GST/VAT/WHT reports, reconciliation reports, and corporate tax calculations promptly.
Prepares annual statutory financial statements for the assigned portfolio of entities.
Provides data and communicates with external auditors as needed, escalating issues and risks in a timely manner.
Participates in the transition of regional GL activities to the Shared Services Center in Malaysia and assists with the implementation of the new Oracle ERP system.
Aids in streamlining and enhancing the Record-to-Report (R2R) process.
Supports decision-making in forecasting and reporting by delivering timely and concise analyses on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Assists with statistical submissions.
Performs any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Profile:
Must be willing to work on Penang Island, Malaysia.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or a professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
5 to 8 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
Experience in the manufacturing and/or trading sectors is preferred.
Strong skills in Excel, Oracle, and ERP software.
Capable of problem-solving both independently and collaboratively.
Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
