Provides guidance and support to the commodity team during global negotiations of pricing, terms and conditions and monitoring of supplier performance.
Provides guidance and support for worldwide product sourcing process.
Maintains responsibility for development and execution of procurement strategies for a group of components or services.
Establishes and drives strategic global bidding/initiatives.
Maintains responsibility for commodity plans, supplier selection, quotation/contracting and supplier relationship management for high dollar commodities.
Facilitates process of making the material commitments.
Drives continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends.
Excellent understanding of the global business environment and customers' business, organization, products and processes.
Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
Problem-solving skills to deal with Customer/Supplier issues.
Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
