Job DescriptionRole summary:
The KL GFS Billing Manager position offers considerable exposure to the business, finance leaders, and the wider shared services teams. You will broaden & strengthen knowledge through leading & integrating varied Billing service challenges globally. These include Billing operations support across markets such as APAC and UKI and the global task of loading Experian invoices onto customer portals across APAC, EMEA, UKI and NA regions.
What You'll Do:
Help make decisions about the best way to implement the requirements to allow efficient billing processes for the markets we support.
Propose and implement process and commercial standardization that enables simpler automated solutions and processes including deploying major complex global Billing applications such as ARIA.
Identify best practices and ongoing support to the business on billing process and functionality while ensuring it is in compliance with relevant policies/legislation.
Lead the integration of new acquisition billing processes into Experian which includes partnering with market FD and the business in deciding and thereafter implementing the best billing process and system solution to provide seamless support without any service disruption to the business.
Lead the Billing teams and monitor/manage operations delivery, project or development milestones, prioritization, and progress to ensure monthly operations support and project delivery.
Provide regular updates to management and important partners, escalating issues to ensure prompt resolution to maintain/achieve operational or project timelines.
Recommend process improvement opportunities, initiating actions or projects for continuous improvement.
Manage the daily billing operations across both Kuala Lumpur and India locations to ensure smooth execution, target and timelines are met.
Lead as a role model, instilling a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration while implementing clear metrics to measure the success of the team.
Review and respond to any billing and payment queries received from clients.
Review the completeness of Billing-Interface reconciliation and month-end AR to GL.
Act as the point of escalation for all Billing process and systems matters, promoting UAT and Go live of system changes and procedures when needed.
Ensure billing process and controls are enforced and measured through Indicators Audit Control and Compliance.
Conduct regular calls with defined partners to resolve outstanding actions, serving as the go-to person for the Regional CFO and Head of Finance for any Billing support requirements.
Foster a culture of cross-training and support across the other country reports/dashboard and align processes.
Encourage adaptability and the willingness to push beyond expectations and re-evaluate thinking when circumstances change.
Seek feedback and remain open to questioning assumptions, demonstrating confidence in handling challenges.
QualificationsMore About You:
Qualified Accountant with university degree qualification. A member of internationally recognized accountancy qualification, i.e. CPA, ACA, CGMA (CIMA) or equivalent.
5 years related experience in billing and experience leading teams are a must-have.
Experience working in a shared services center is a plus.
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and the ability to identify risk areas in reviews required and action upon, else escalate to the manager.
