Position Overview
As a Global HSSE Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the right level of Health, Safety, Security & Environment is applied on all SBM Projects and GRS Offices worldwide.
Reporting to the GRS HSSE QR & Sustainability Director, you provide support and direction to your pool of Project HSSE Managers / Leads, Global Office HSSE Manager, and HSSE Excellence Manager.
You collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Group Functions, Product Lines, HSSE Q&R Digital Solution Manager, IT, and external partners.
Your role is instrumental in promoting HSSE across SBM Projects and in GRS Offices worldwide.Responsibilities / Key Tasks
Ensure that the Governance defined at Group Level is properly rolled-out and implemented in SBM Projects and GRS Offices. Define needed trainings and follow-up training matrix completion for SBM people and contractors.
With the support of the Regulatory Excellence Manager, ensure compliance with applicable national and/or international HSSE regulatory requirements.
Monitor HSSE performance and KPIs, ensuring they are properly reported through existing channels (i.e. MOR, Performance Report, Group consolidation dashboards, etc.).
In line with the RCP, plan for proper resources (quantity and skills) to maintain effective project execution.
Identify potential HSSE risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure regular HSSE audits are conducted to ensure compliance with GEMS.
Provide Group Function with feedback from execution/operational level to update governance as needed.
Review and approve HSSE CTRs and manning plans during the proposal process.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HSSE standards and best practices alongside the HSSE Excellence Manager. Analyze the applicability of new tools and processes to improve HSSE.
Ensure that the part of the GEMS where GRS HSSE QR is Process Owner is updated with the latest improvements and lessons learned.Measures of Effectiveness:
Seamless roll-out of the Group HSSE Governance in our Projects and at our GRS Offices.
KPI targets set by Group HSSE for Turnkey.
Timeliness of Reports: Adherence to reporting schedules and deadlines.
HSSE team fully in place at project KoM. Seamless management of demob/remob of HSSE teams.
SBM's HSSE Governance reflects the latest Lessons Learned from Projects execution and operational GRS offices.
CTRs and manning plans are provided in due time, allowing proper review by Proposal and Management.
Mentor and develop the HSSE team. Review performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Define succession plans.
Organize stakeholders satisfaction survey, and monitor Global HSSE performance.
Requirements
Ten or more years of experience in HSSE, including team management in an international environment.
Proven experience in managing global HSSE programs and leading cross-functional teams.
Education Background:
As a minimum, hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Health, Management, Technical, Science, Education, Industrial, Business, or Graduate fields.
Hold relevant HSSE certification against international standards: ISO, OSHA, NEBOSH, CSP, etc.

Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address data-related challenges with keen attention to detail.
Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced changing business needs and priorities.
HSSE Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of various HSSE standards, tools, and processes.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate HSSE concepts to non-HSSE stakeholders.
