Our client, a European manufacturing company, specializing in the development and production of Medical and Consumer Goods, has opened a new site in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
They are currently seeking a dynamic Manufacturing General Manager to lead the operations at this facility and ensure that business goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
Implement and optimize operational processes and workflows to improve efficiency.
Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and logistics.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability in alignment with Company Group Management.
Analyze market trends and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
Identify opportunities for expansion and diversification.
Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure cost control and profitability of operations.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of professionals across various departments.
Foster a positive and collaborative work culture.
Ensure continuous professional development and training for staff.
Quality Control: Ensure all products and services meet quality standards and client expectations.
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes and procedures.
Address and resolve any issues related to product quality.
Client Relations: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Address client concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
Work to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Oversee health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Sustainability Initiatives: Execute Company Group sustainability strategy and promote and integrate sustainable practices across all departments and operations.
Monitor and report on sustainability performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to drive environmentally-friendly initiatives and reduce the companys carbon footprint.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Company Group Management Team on operational performance, financial status, and strategic initiatives.
Develop and present performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and drive improvement.
Requirements Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably in the production or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of business functions such as finance, marketing, and operations.
Experience in working with multinational cooperations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business software.
Experience with SAP systems is a plus.
