R+ is seeking driven individuals who are trained in graphic design and excel in communication — both visually, and verbally — to be part of a small research-based design team and fill in the role of aMid-weight Graphic Designer .
In this role you will assist in developing, managing, and executing print and digital design materials for the various clients and projects that R+ takes on.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesignResearch and ideation.
Concept and design development.
Work closely with the team to create project briefs, respond to client briefs, and develop design proposals and presentations.
Design and manage projects (print, spatial, digital) from start to completion.
General design and production assistance.
Final artworking and specifications.
Project ManagementLiaising with collaborators effectively.
Coordinate timelines between multiple collaborators.
Maintain organised notes and process documentation within the team.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time well.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be able to create clearly structured presentations to articulate concepts and design approaches for clients.
QualificationsSkills and ExperienceMinimum 3 years of relevant experience & a degree holder.
Effective communicator, proactive executor.
Great technical skills and understanding of graphic design principles and theories for print and digital media.
Experience in conceptualising, designing, and developing projects creatively across print and digital media.
Ability to reason and rationalise design thinking and methods with clarity.
Knowledge of, and experience with print techniques, paper stocks, and construction methods.
Eye for typography and motion design.
Demonstrate experience in overseeing post-production and pre/press, coordinating it independently and as part of a team.
Ability to be agile with attention to detail when working under pressure to (sometimes) tight timelines.
A broad interest in the public zeitgeist, art, architecture, design, and strategic research.
Demonstrate experience in working with web design and motion design.
Special consideration will be given to candidates that have experience combining visual design with motion graphics and 2D/3D animation.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite.
