Group Accountant

Key Responsibilities:Group Financial Reporting and Consolidation:Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reporting processes.Statutory Compliance and Audit Coordination:Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, Securities Commission regulations, and other statutory obligations.
Liaise with external auditors, internal auditors, risk management consultants, tax agents and other consultants to facilitate timely completion of audits and filings.Budgeting and Forecasting:Support the preparation and monitoring of group budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial trends to support strategic decision-making.Internal Controls and Governance:Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard the group's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in implementing and maintaining the company's corporate governance framework.Tax Planning and Compliance:Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws, including corporate tax, withholding tax, royalties and GST/SST.
Provide support in tax planning and optimizing the group's tax position.Ad Hoc Reporting and Projects:Prepare financial analyses and reports as required by senior management or the Board of Directors.
Participate in special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process improvements.Requirements:Academic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW) are highly desirable.Experience:Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, audit, or group consolidation.
Prior experience in a public listed company or a Big 4 audit firm is an added advantage.Technical Skills:Proficient in MFRS, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
Advanced knowledge of financial consolidation tools and accounting software (e.g., SQL).Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.Language:Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.#J-18808-Ljbffr
