Our Direct-To-Consumer segment (D2C) is one of our fastest growing product areas in the market, with an abundance of expansion plans and innovative ideas on hand.Financial Reporting and ComplianceOversee the day-to-day financial operations and financial reporting functions of the Group.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Review the monthly, quarterly financial statements and reporting for the Group, including group consolidation, audited accounts, and annual report.
Provide accurate, timely, and relevant statutory reporting and management information to ensure management meets statutory requirements and achieves strategic business goals.
Ensure the timely and accurate submission of the Group quarterly financial reports to Bursa as per the internal deadlines.
Work with other departments to ensure business requirements are being addressed.
Liaise with the auditors and ensure that the audit process for the Group is done timely and smoothly.
Work with Company Secretary to ensure that the regulatory requirements are being complied with.Group TreasuryEnsure liquidity and optimize cash flow, reducing financial costs through strategic cash and debt management.
Manage capital structure and secure funding, while cultivating bank and investor relations.
Mitigate currency and interest rate risks with targeted hedging strategies.Corporate Tax and SSTEnsure the timely and accurate submission of corporate tax and SST.
Ensure the timely payments of all tax and SST obligations.
Ensure that all audit matters are being addressed and resolved expediently.Team DevelopmentGive guidance and coaching to subordinates to ensure competency in their tasks and to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
Promote a high level of morale and positive productivity among departmental staff.
Participate in staff activities, training, and meetings as required.
Ensure positive and effective communications between staff under supervision and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.Process and PoliciesMonitor existing accounting policies adopted and proactively identify gaps for improvement.
Enhance, develop, and implement accounting policies and procedures including automation of processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls, improving overall finance operations and effectiveness of the Group.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Support system integration and/or finance transformation projects.Other Reporting / MattersEnsure the timely and accurate reporting to Bank Negara Malaysia, MDEC, and any other regulatory bodies.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
Other ad hoc assignments.Minimum QualificationsCandidates must possess a Degree in Accounting/ACCA or equivalent.
Minimum 15 years of working experience in the related field and position.
Experience in managing a team.
Audit experience is preferred.Skills / KnowledgeProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).
Knowledgeable and experienced in ERP and consolidation systems.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
High-level of integrity with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good organization skills with an ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently.
