Hardware Engineer

GENERAL PURPOSES To assist the AMR Manager in all R&D activities such as proof-of-concept testing, PCD design, preparation of R&D samples and new/alternative parts evaluation.
RESPONSIBILITIES To prepare R&D AMR samples for development, certification and project submission.To setup R&D POC test environment to test and evaluate feasibility of product specification requirements.To produce schematic diagram, PCB layout, BOM, documentation etc. related to the design activities.To evaluate new and alternative electronic components to be used in existing and new design. To conduct necessary tests and component evaluation reports.To perform tests, measurements and validation of hardware circuitry and functionality. REQUIREMENT Possess minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with major in Telecommunications or its equivalent.Posses less than 2 years of experience in R&D product development cycle and/or in Electronic Product Development. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role.Familiar with electronic measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, electronic load etc. to measure and to troubleshoot problems.Able to interface with the Mechanical, Hardware, Firmware and Software team on technical design specification.Able to read and review schematic design, PCB & mechanical drawings.Product certification knowledge for local and international is an added advantage.Posses good communication skills and a good team player.
