Job Responsibilities :
Lead and supervise all aspects of the bakery section, ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of daily baking tasks.
Oversee the preparation and baking of a variety of products, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods, ensuring consistency, premium quality and presentation.
Manage, mentor, and develop bakery staff, including providing training on techniques, product knowledge, and safety standards.
Maintain stock levels of raw materials, order supplies, and manage inventory to ensure availability without overstocking.
Develop and implement new bakery recipes, products, and seasonal offerings to keep the menu fresh and innovative.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations and maintain a clean and organized bakery environment.
Monitor and control waste, product spoilage, and production efficiency to maximize profitability.
Collaborate with management and other departments to plan and execute promotions, events, and special product launches.
Maintain equipment and troubleshoot any operational issues to minimize downtime.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns related to bakery products.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a baker with at least 5 years in a hands-on role, including leadership or supervisory experience. Expertise in both bread and pastry making is essential.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety standards, and industry trends.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage a team effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail, with a passion for producing high-quality baked goods.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to go the extra mile.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Culinary degree or certification in baking/patisserie is an advantage but not mandatory.
